All of this is packed into a compact, mobile 5x super-telephoto zoom lens with built-in optical image stabilisation.

G Lens quality all the way to 350 mm (525 mm equiv.)

One aspherical element and three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements in a precision optical design suppress aberration throughout the zoom range, including chromatic aberration that can be an issue at super-telephoto focal lengths. Excellent sharpness and rendering are achieved at all zoom settings, throughout the image area. Gorgeous telephoto G Lens bokeh is another advantage. 

Compact, mobile 5x super-telephoto zoom

Although it offers a big 5x zoom range, this compact lens weighs in at just 625 g, enhancing the mobility of the entire camera system. 70–350 mm (105–525 mm equiv.) is an ideal range for a wide spectrum of subjects. Built-in optical image stabilisation makes it easier to capture crisp, blur-free imagery even when shooting handheld at super-telephoto focal lengths.

XD Linear Motor in an APS-C lens
