Hard Case Size Finder

Case Kavach Vantage ยท Hard case range

Tell us your kit. We'll draw the cut sheet.

Pick the gear you actually carry. This works out the foam layout, checks it against every case in the range, and shows you the best case for your kit โ€” with the pockets drawn to scale. No measuring required.

Not sure? Talk to a case specialist.

Send us your kit and we will confirm the size, tell you honestly if a smaller case works, and quote CNC-machined foam if your layout is tight. We answer with a real recommendation, not a catalogue link.

Your cut list fills in automatically as you build your kit โ€” edit it freely first. This opens your own email app with everything filled in, so you keep a copy of what you sent. Prefer WhatsApp? Use the button on the right and your cut list travels with it.

    Questions people ask before ordering

How do I know the case is really the right size?

The finder holds the real interior dimensions of every Vantage case and the nominal dimensions of the gear you pick. It lays your items out as rectangles with foam between them, allows for the base cushion and the lid foam, then reports the depth headroom left over. If your exact body or lens is not listed, add it with the custom-item box and its own measurements.

Why does the drawing sometimes say a bigger case is cheaper?

The range is not priced in size order โ€” wheels, latches and depth all affect cost, so a larger case can be less expensive than a smaller specialist one. The finder recommends on price first and then size, and tells you when a smaller case exists at a higher price so the choice stays yours.

What is the difference between cut-to-fit, pluck and CNC foam?

Cut-to-fit ships as solid foam sheets with a cutter so you shape the pockets yourself. Pluck foam is pre-cubed and you pull out cubes by hand โ€” fast, but the edges are stepped. CNC-cut foam is machined to your exact layout: the pockets follow the real outline of each item instead of a rectangle, which usually fits more gear into the same case. Send us your cut list for a CNC quote.

My kit does not fit any single case. What now?

The finder will say so and name the item that blocks it. Usually the answer is either CNC foam, which recovers the space a rectangular hand-cut layout wastes, or a planned two-case set. Send us the cut list and we will lay it out across both cases so nothing travels loose.

    Are these cases airline safe?

All Vantage cases are IP67 rated and pressure-equalised, and most models carry ATA 300 and MIL-STD-810 test certification โ€” the specific certificates for each model are listed on that model's product page and shown in the finder once a case is recommended. Check your airline's own cabin dimensions before assuming a case is carry-on legal.
