Collection: Flanders Scientific Reference Monitors

Flanders Scientific (FSI) builds reference monitors that colorists, DITs and broadcast engineers use to judge picture accuracy. This collection covers the two ranges FSI makes for post and mastering work: the XMP series UHD QD-OLED HDR monitors and the DM series HD SDR reference monitors.

Buying guide: XMP vs DM: which Flanders Scientific monitor to buy.

XMP series: UHD QD-OLED HDR mastering monitors

The XMP line runs from the compact 26.5 inch XMP270 and the 31.5 inch XMP310, both 1000 nits, to the 55 inch XMP550 at 2000 nits. The flagship XMP551 and XMP651 reach 4000 nits with 8,000,000:1 contrast on a 4th generation QD-OLED panel. Every XMP is 3840 x 2160 with 10-bit colour and 12G-SDI inputs.

DM series: HD SDR reference monitors

The DM line suits edit suites, production and broadcast. The DM160 is a light 15.6 inch RGB OLED. The DM211 and DM231 are wide-gamut LCDs at 21.5 and 23.8 inches, and the DM242 is a 24 inch 1920 x 1200 10-bit model.

Which Flanders Scientific monitor should you choose?

Pick an XMP for HDR grading and mastering, and match the size to the room: 26.5 or 31.5 inch for a desk, 55 or 65 inch for a client suite. Pick a DM for accurate SDR and HD monitoring where contrast and weight matter more than peak brightness. If you need an on-camera or field monitor instead, see our SmallHD monitors or the full monitors range.
